The Government of India has recently launched an upgraded version of online portal: Madad V2.0, a Consular Grievances Monitoring System with improved features. The revised version has increased the uploading limit of documents from 1 MB to 5 MB and an SMS facility for real-time-updates has also been introduced on registered Indian mobile numbers.

The portal can be used for lodging the Consular grievances regarding compensation, court cases, domestic helps, imprisonment abroad, transportation of mortal remains, repatriation, salary dues, tracing the whereabouts. Grievances relating to visa and passport, travel documents, attestation of documents will not be entertained in this portal. After registering, the complainant can log in and file his or her complaints, and the entire history of that grievance would be maintained online.
